You have two options for completing the order for service:
First Option:
Follow this link to our secure Ambit Customer Enrollment Page. Start by putting in your zip code, then just follow the directions on completing the secure web form. Call us at 281-657-7909 with any questions regarding the form. Refer to the question/answers below, and the FAQ page for further information on the process.
As a safeguard for the consumer, once your form has been submitted, you will receive a Verification Call to confirm your request. This is to confirm the exact address and protect you from being “switched” without your express permission.
By the way, there is no need to contact your current provider and there is no cost to switch
Second Option:
Call 281-657-7909 to place the order by phone. We are available Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. It only takes about five minutes. Most customers prefer this method as we’re able to answer any questions you may have.

As mentioned above, Ambit’s rate plans are very simple. There are no surprises, no gimmicks. Just a low rate. As you consider your options, remember the simplicity of their plans. You will be hard pressed to find a better package than Ambit’s rates!
Check your current bill for these words: “The average price you paid for electricity service this month is:..” That is your current final rate, expressed in cents per kWh. To date, we have educated hundreds of customers on their option to save and have found that most consumers are paying significantly more than the offered rates.

Once I am an Ambit customer, who do I call if the power goes out?
You will call the same Local Wires Company you would call right now. In the Houston area that company is Centerpoint. 713-207-2222 These companies do not sell electricity, they only maintain the wires/poles and read our meters. A 24 hour emergency service phone number will be provided on your bill.
Can I pay my bill online?
Yes. Upon enrollment you will be given all the details regarding your option to pay your bill online. You will be provided website access to all details regarding your account including usage history, reward point amounts, and all bill pay options.
